Canada Goose Hunts: Our Canada goose hunts are offered starting in September with the early season hunts that are set up to control the growing number of resident birds. Our morning hunts take place on private crop fields that surround the lake and are second to none when it comes to hunting the big Canada's. We have midday and evening hunts on several different islands that are throughout the lake and river systems.
Other areas we hunt: The "Great Salt Plains Refuge" is an area that we have hunted for over 10 years and feel very confident of always finding, hunting and killing geese within 20 miles of the refuge. Quivira Refuge in Kansas is another hot spot that we hunt and have lots of private land that we can really let the birds stack up on until we decide its time to hunt them. Fort Cobb is another place we like to go especially when someone is looking for a hunt where they can take both ducks and geese in a field hunt situation. It's pretty basic, we take you where the birds are!
Snow Goose Hunts: Our snow goose hunts take place about like all hunts and boils down to where the birds are at the time. We have had lots of success in Oklahoma, Missouri and Kansas and feel that we can hunt the little devils wherever they may be. We usually run 200 to 500 GHG full body snows and blues and feel that the birds decoy the way we want them to over the full bodies. It is a sight to see that many full body decoys in the field and just gives the added confidence needed to hunt one of the hardest birds to decoy. During the extended season we run two snow crow pros and a number of speakers depending on the situation. We look forward to having you on a hunt and doing our part in waterfowl conservation!
Duck Hunts: Grand Lake has a good population of Mallards and offers lots of places that can make for a great hunt. If you are into the backwoods timber hunts it does not get any better than the Neosho and Spring River systems that feed the lake. They both offer miles and miles of water with sloughs and potholes all over the place. The peanut fields around the Fort Cobb refuge also offer some prime duck hunting and is one place we are sure to visit several times a year. We also have a private marsh and 2 miles of South Canadian River in western Oklahoma that always holds a ton of birds. If you are looking to have a great hunt and also pick the type of terrain you want to hunt than you have come to the right place!
